HQIADS VISIT BY THE UK DIRECTOR INTEGRATED WARFARE CENTRE (DIWC), AVM SIMON STRASDIN CBE MA, BRITISH DEFENCE STAFF SINGAPORE AND THE UK DA MALAYSIA
HQIADS welcomed a high-level delegation from the United Kingdom, led by Air Vice-Marshal (AVM) Strasdin CBE MA , DIWC and UK Strategic Command (UKStratCom).
AVM Strasdin was joined by Captain Stockbridge RN, the UK Defence Advisor to Malaysia and Colonel Maskell-Pedersen, UK Defence advisor to Singapore and head of British Defence Staff (South East Asia), accompanied by a delegation from the British High Commission. The visit forms part of a series of broader UK regional engagements aimed at understanding and strengthening defence cooperation through the FPDA.
During the visit, the entire delegation engaged with AVM Nathan Christie, Commander IADS (CIADS), to discuss FPDA-related business whilst also taking advantage of meeting HQIADS UK personnel and a tour of the facilities. These engagements reflect the ongoing commitment to regional security and interoperability among FPDA member nations. The visit underscores the UK's continued support for FPDA initiatives and highlights the value of face-to-face meetings to help promote peace and stability in Southeast Asia.
