Suman Warrior 25
This year’s Exercise Suman Warrior 2025 is held at Manawatū’s Linton Military Camp, one of New Zealand’s largest military installations and home to key command and operational units. The command post exercise brings together more than 120 personnel.
Five battle groups — each representing one of the FPDA member nations — develop their own tactical responses to a conflict scenario designed by Colonel Mike van Welie and his team from the New Zealand Army’s 1st Brigade and the Army Training Group’s Mission Command Training Centre.
Headquarters Integrated Area Defence System played a critical role in overseeing coordination and ensuring the exercise contributes to the FPDA’s broader command-and-control framework during Suman Warrior.
